Your Go To Style This Summer: BEACH WAVES!

Whether you want authentic oceanic texture or plan to fake it with a curling iron, there’s no denying that wavy beach hair is THE summer style and isn’t going to die out any time soon.

From a casual beach day, to red carpet events to NYFW, beach waves is your go to style! In fact, our global artistic director, Christo just recently performed beach waves at a major photo shoot with People En Espanol and bridal fashion week with fashion designer: Idan Cohen.

With the warmer weather quickly approaching, it is the best time to go for a more relaxed look. Everyone wants those sexy texturized, beachy waves but we can’t all actually go to the beach every day – and we’d probably destroy our hair if we did! And that’s why our artistic team at Curlisto is here to guide you on how to achieve the infamous beach waves style with the help of Curlisto products!

Celenbrity Stylist, Christo had the honor, yet again, to style the beautiful ladies of People En Espanol for their annual "50 Mas Bellos" photo shoot.

How to get Beach Waves with NO Heat:

Step 1. You’ll have to begin your styling process the night before. So once you’ve hopped out of the shower, finger comb with your hands a quarter size of Curlisto’s Repair Cream from mid-shaft to ends. Repair Cream will keep your strands moisturized and prevent breakage throughout the night.

Step 2. Let your hair air dry about 80% of the way before parting it down the middle making two equal French braids. The tighter your braids are, the tighter your wave pattern will be! Spritz on Curlisto’s Finishing Hair Spray, 6 inches away from your scalp, from the top of the braid to the bottom to create an overnight hold.

Step 3. Get some beauty rest! In the morning, unravel your braids and apply 3 pumps of Curlisto’s Bio Gel Mousse, in a scrunching motion throughout your head. Spray on Curlisto’s Glow & Shine as your final step and VOILA! Your end result is beautiful, tousled waves for any occasion.

Creating Beach Waves with Heat:

Step 1. Prep from roots to ends with Curlisto’s Protein Boost in order keep your hair moisturized, while preventing split ends from happening with the hot iron. Blow dry your hair until its 100% dry.

Step 2. Split your hair into 4 sections with Curlisto’s duck bill clips for an easier styling process. It will keep unwanted hairs from raveling into the section you are working on.

Step 3. Grab your curling iron and begin curling your strands section by section. Alternate your wave pattern by curling towards your face and away to create a more natural, not-so-perfect beach wave. Spray each curl lightly with Curlisto’s Finishing Hair Spray to hold your waves all day and night long. Continue this step until all 4 sections are completed.

Step 4. With a nickel size of Curlisto’s Finishing Pomade, run your fingers through your entire head to unravel the curl slightly and tame any unwanted fly-aways. You’re now ready to head out the door and enjoy your waves all day long!
